Enhancing spaces where everyone belongs

Our library is more than the books it contains, it is a community hub where we learn and lead, connect and create, grow and thrive. It’s a welcoming space where everyone, of every age and background, can find belonging. With donor support, the library continues to expand its spaces, collections, and resources so that together we can read, create, share, and discover.

Spaces

Afterschool Programs

Afterschool Programs give students a safe and welcoming space to learn, create, and connect with peers once the school day ends. The library provides a welcoming space for working on homework, opportunities to read and explore library materials, technology for schoolwork and fun, and drop-in activities that spark imagination and support academic growth. Your generosity ensures that children and teens always have a place to thrive after school.

Alta Branch Community Room Chairs & Cabinets

Updated chairs and storage cabinets transformed the Alta Branch community room into a more functional and comfortable gathering space. This upgrade supports everything from book clubs and workshops to neighborhood meetings. Thanks to your support, the library can offer enhanced, functional spaces that bring people together.

There are two decorative yellow trees on the windowsills, a man and a boy sitting and talking at a small table, with backpacks nearby. Sustainable green hanging lamps illuminate the space, and a colorful child’s chair and bookshelves with magazines are visible.

Patron Device Chargers

With device chargers available for use throughout the library, patrons can be mobile and stay connected, whether for work, school, or personal use. This small but impactful enhancement ensures that the library meets the modern needs of its visitors. Your support helps create additional workspaces, so that everyone can fully use library spaces.

Patron OWL

Patrons can check out the OWL video conferencing device for use in the library’s study and meeting rooms, making it easy to host virtual meetings, classes, or calls. This resource helps individuals stay connected, collaborate, and access opportunities from anywhere within the library. Donor support makes this convenient and mobile technology available for everyone.

Spanish Collection

An expanded Spanish-language collection ensures that all members of our community can enjoy books and resources in the language they know best. This collection celebrates cultural diversity and strengthens inclusivity. Donors help sustain a library that truly reflects the people it serves.

Youth Services New Furniture

Bright, flexible furniture in the Youth Services area creates a welcoming environment for reading, playing, and learning. These upgrades make the library more inviting for children and families, encouraging them to stay, explore, and connect. Your gift makes it possible to keep library spaces vibrant and responsive to community needs.

Museum Passes

Through the Museum Pass program, patrons can check out free passes to local museums and cultural institutions. This service extends learning opportunities beyond the library’s walls and makes cultural experiences more accessible for families. Your donation opens doors to arts, history, and discovery for all.
