Here for our library and our community.

For the staff, executive committee, and board members of Teton County Library Foundation & Friends, the Library is more than a place - it’s the heart of our community. We’re proud to support the programs, resources, and experiences that strengthen learning, creativity, connection, and civic life across our community.

Friends Committee

The Friends are the volunteer-powered, community outreach program of the Library Foundation and Friends. From overseeing the Book Nook and used-book sales, to making sure our Little Free Libraries are well-stocked and maintained, to hosting library staff appreciation and social events, to volunteering for library programs and services, our Friends enjoy sharing their love, enthusiasm, and support for the Library.

Put simply, we believe all volunteers are Friends of the Library, and whether you identify as a library Volunteer or a library Friend, we value and appreciate every hour of your contribution.

Our History

Teton County Library Foundation & Friends has supported the Teton Library since 1982. From humble beginnings, with a small group of passionate people committed to the belief that everyone in our community should experience our library, the Foundation has steadfastly supported programs that have continued to grow in scope and reach. Over the years, the Foundation has partnered with more and more people, from legislators to businesses, to community members, all with one goal — to see the library grow and expand its services so that people of all ages can flourish and find their potential.

In 2023, the Teton County Library Foundation and the Friends of the Teton County Library merged, bringing together the Foundation’s mission to secure and steward charitable gifts toward enhancing the library’s goals, and The Friends’ mission to promote and provide volunteer services, raise funds through the Book Nook and other used-book sales, and steward the Little Free Libraries program.

Our Future

Together, as a unified organization, we move into the future with an expanded mission to enhance the library’s programs, facilities, and resources by securing and stewarding charitable gifts, promoting volunteerism, and raising community awareness and appreciation for the Library.
